When we leave our settings on the newer Motherboards (last 2 years) to auto we are not using the modules we payed for. When running auto the majority of Motherboards runs your 1600Mhz and your 1333Mhz memory at 1066Mhz. I changed mine from Auto to the correct timings and notice a much faster start up and better gaming etc.. I have overclocked my ram but in the long run the timings that the ram has on it work the best and run the most stable. There are other factors involved if your OCing your cpu etc.. then timings, voltages etc on ram need to change but if I were you I would not do it unless you know what your doing. LOL

For some reason Corsair does not have support for your memory and others are bitching about it also Brock.

Go into bios, memory, change from auto to manual.

Set these settings:
tCL= 9
tRCD= 9
tRP= 9
tRASmin= 24
Mem Voltage= 1.8

That should make your memory run where it is supposed to be or at 1333 Mhz. If anything gets unstable put it back to auto and post it here or contact me. Whats your motherboard model again? I may be able to get more info from them.

Tommy

I read where the 1.9 voltage works best with your motherboard.

Corsair XMS2 CM2X2048-6400C5
tCL= 5
tRCD= 5
tRP= 5
tRASmin= 18
Mem Voltage= 1.9

Motherboard for Tommy is MSI K9A2 Platinum (MS-7376). Go to page 3-19 in your manual Tom. Also do you have the latest bios? This is what your bios looks like or should look like. All that needs to be changed is the numbers I gave you.

Here is a post by someone with your Motherboard and what he did. Just read the forum and you will understand buddy. :thumb: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=167447
