Well you are pretty much ruled or caged by your Mobo there Mick.
Can't upgrade too much wihout going the whole hog.
Maybe slap in a couple of cosmetic upgrades but ultimately you are not going to get too far without a rebuild.
Depending on how much you want to spend, that will gauge on where you can go from here.

Would a CPU upgrade do much?

Ninj nailed it on the head. It is all or nothing with the older motherboard. If I were you Mick I would try to keep saving the money and get up to date on everything.
Don't waste good money on old technology.

That's actually a pretty kick ass system there sir. I would suggest getting some decent RAM in there though. You processor has a FSB of 1333 but the RAM you have is only 533? Get a kit like this, the board supports it as far as I can tell and it will help. Much faster, slightly higher CAS and twice the memory. You also might look at a newer video card since you can always bring that into a new machine as you can with this RAM when you do upgrade.

He's running a 32 bit system so 8 gigs of ram won't work.

I have 64 bit for my laptop but I was wondering does it install on a pc? I was thinking it would be just like a big company to make a OS for each so you need to spend more $. if it does I have no problem getting that ram and doing a reinstall.
So if that all works you recon that ram is the go?
Thanks
